The Month of May

The months seem to be flying by at Studio Sorriso and I’m loving the off-site (on location) photo shoots for Part 2 of the Furever Families Project. Watch for our crowdsourcing fundraising campaign related to this project. We’ve also got some great webinars coming up, #YEGPhotoTours are restarting, Fundamentals courses (Virtual) and Porchrait Bookings start May 1st! Read more to find out the details.

Porchrait Bookings - Support the Edmonton Food Bank

I had such a great success last year during the pandemic that I am going to have another round of Porchraits (front porch family portraits).

The porchraits can be booked for a cost of $125 and $50 will be donated to the Edmonton Food Bank.

How it works:

I will come to take your portraits from the front street (socially distant) with your family on your front porch. You will get a link to a private gallery (no watermarks).

The porchrait shoot should take approximately 15 minutes.

The Furever Families Project

What an amazing few months it has been and Part 2 of the project includes the families. It really touches my heart when I get to see these rescued animals with such amazing families.

We are well underway capturing the stories that will accompany the photographs in the book I will be producing. Jane Marshall has been working hard to interview the families to learn their stories. I am editing the images from the photo shoots and we will soon be working on layouts for the book. There are so many images to choose from with such great models!

A portion of the proceeds from this project will go to GEARS. Watch for more details soon about the crowdsourcing campaign, how to pre-order a copy of the book and get great rewards!
